1. INTRODUCTION
UpOnPlat (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Greek law. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website (uponplat.com) and Platform.

2. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Identity & Contact Data: Full name, artist/professional name, email address, and account credentials.
Financial & Billing Data: We do not store full credit card numbers. Payments are processed by third-party processors (PayPal, Stripe, Viva Wallet, Greek bank transfer gateways, and other providers added from time to time). We retain billing history, subscription status, and VAT details.
Profile & Content Data: Audio files, beats, lyrics, cover art, metadata, video, and Ideas (recorded tunes, voice memos, text descriptions, mood boards) that you upload. This also includes any profile biography, website links, and communication preferences you provide.
Communications Data: Content of private messages exchanged between Users through the Platform’s messaging feature.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and log data automatically collected when you access the Platform (hosted by Bluehost).
Usage & Analytics Data: Aggregated data about how Users interact with the Platform, collected via Google Analytics. We do not track which specific Industry Professional listened to a particular Creator’s track (no individualized playback monitoring).
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA (LEGAL BASES)
We process personal data for the following purposes, under the listed GDPR lawful bases:

4. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:
Industry Professionals: If you are a Creator, your public profile, uploaded tracks, and Idea descriptions (as you configure them) are visible to Industry Professional accounts for discovery purposes. By uploading content, you consent to this visibility.
Service Providers (Data Processors):
Bluehost (website hosting, server infrastructure).
Google Analytics (aggregated usage analytics).
Payment processors (PayPal, Stripe, Viva Wallet, and/or Greek bank gateways) for subscription billing.
Additional third-party tools may be used from time to time (e.g., future email services, support platforms). We will update this Policy accordingly.
Advertising Partners: We may in the future display advertisements through networks such as Google AdSense, Meta Ads, or similar. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve interest-based ads. Details will be provided in our Cookie Policy and consent banner when implemented.
Legal & Safety: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of UpOnPlat, our Users, or others.
5. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Our Platform uses cookies for functionality, analytics, and (when enabled) advertising.
Essential Cookies: Necessary for login, session management, and Platform operation. These do not require consent.
Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics cookies help us understand site usage. We will request consent for these where legally required.
Advertising Cookies: When ad networks are activated, they will drop cookies to serve targeted ads. You will be able to manage preferences through a consent banner.
You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If your account is closed or abandoned for over twelve (12) months, we will securely delete or anonymize your data, except where retention is necessary for:
Legal claims or defense.
Tax, accounting, or anti-fraud obligations.
Archived backup media (deleted within standard backup cycles).

8. AGE RESTRICTIONS
The Platform is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
